About Plays Manager

Plays Manager started on a Sunday night with a depth chart, a spreadsheet and a rule: every kid plays at least four plays a half. Doing that by hand — across offense units, defense units and special teams — is genuinely hard, and the person it fails is a twelve-year-old standing on the sideline.

Playing time rules are a promise to families. Planning the rotation before the game, on paper, is how coaches keep that promise while still coaching to win. Plays Manager is built to make the plan fast to build, easy to adjust, and simple to hand to a spotter.

Today Plays Manager helps coaches build rosters with jersey numbers, positions, injury flags and CSV import; plan football rotations series by series; substitute individual athletes at the start of a series or after any play; and track live play counts per half against league minimums. You can save, duplicate and version plans by opponent, set a team default rotation, and export rotation plans, spotter sheets and depth charts to PDF or CSV.

Baseball and softball teams get a lineup builder with fielders, batting order and bench tracking. Football, basketball and soccer coaches can use the included Play Designer to draw plays, organize them into playbooks, and print full books, compact call sheets or sideline sheets. Plans and playbooks can also be shared privately with other coaches through a share code.

League and organization accounts are in development, so athletic directors and commissioners can manage rosters, schedules and compliance across multiple teams. Live in-game scoring is also on the roadmap, so the same plan you built during the week can turn into a scored game sheet on Saturday. Sport-specific planners for soccer and basketball continue to roll out alongside those bigger platform features.
